1. Personal data collection

When creating your account and ordering on (hereinafter referred to as the Site), Sacastar collects personal data about you.

The term "personal data" means all data that identifies an individual, including your name, phone number, date of birth, email address, postal address and any other information about yourself that you choose to communicate to SACASTAR.

SACASTAR may also retain information relating to transactions carried out on its Site to combat fraud (see points 2 and 3), including truncated numbers of the credit cards used to perform such transactions and their expiry date.


2. Purpose of data collection

Your personal data is collected for one or more of the following purposes :

3. Fraud prevention
To combat fraud, SACASTAR uses exclusion lists, which could lead to the following:
  1. (I) Certain information concerning your order may trigger the automatic alarm, in which case, to secure the transaction, once payment has been made, SACASTAR may ask you for certain documents.
  2. (II) SACASTAR may block your order if your account has already been used in a fraudulent transaction.
4. Access to collected data

SACASTAR does not sell any data to third parties concerning its customers for commercial purposes.

Only our company and outside companies contractually bound to us for processing your order have access to information that you provide us with. Within the limits of their respective jobs, the following people have access to your personal data in SACASTAR: the sales, administrative and technical staff, and staff responsible for internal control procedures, auditors etc.

For legal obligations only, public bodies, judicial and public officers and debt collection agencies may also have access to your personal details.

5. Storage period for personal data

The data we collect is stored for a period of five years after your last transaction on the Site or last update of your account, except truncated credit card numbers and their expiry dates, which are only kept for a period of six months to help combat fraud.

If, after a period of five years, no new transaction or update of your account is made, your data will be automatically erased.

6. Security
We provide you with all the necessary advice for protecting your personal data and preventing it from being distorted, damaged or accessed by unauthorized third parties.
7. Cookies

To improve our services, we measure the number of pages viewed, the number of visits and visitor activity on the site and how often they return. For this purpose, we use "cookie” technology.

A cookie does not allow us to identify you. In general terms, it records information, which we will be able to view during your future visits, about the navigation of your computer on our site (the pages you have visited, the date and time of visit, etc.).

The data collected by cookies is solely and strictly for internal use and is never passed on to third parties. The storage life of this information on your computer is up to one year.

8. Consent
When you choose to disclose your personal data to the Site, you give us your express consent to collect and use this data in accordance with what is outlined in this Charter and the laws in force.
